Designing well thought out, practical infrastructure solutions is one of our trade marks.  Our staff is responsible for operating and maintaining four surface water treatment plants and storage/distribution facilities.  We understand the consequences of a failure of a critical facilities and implications to operations and maintenance of a poor design.  We bring that practical experience to our designs and work closely with staff operations, maintenance and engineering staff during the design process.

Drones can be a vital tool for water and wastewater system planning, maintenance and operations.  They can be used for inspection of tanks, canals, dams, reservoir covers and other critical infrastructure.  The drone can be flown into areas that may not be accessible or safe for a human to enter.  The high resolution cameras can also provide real-time aerial photos and video of your projects and facilities.    Our drone operators are FAA licensed and we are insured.

Proper planning of your project is the first, and possibly the most important step in the process.  We believe in working closely with your staff to develop alternatives and vetting them from several prospective including the financing/rate impacts, regulatory, operation and maintenance and environmental impacts to identify and implement the best solution for complex water and wastewater challenges.  Our staff helps agencies identify and acquire project funding through various State and Federal programs such as United States Department of Agriculture and State Water Resources Control Board Proposition 1 funding.

Geographical Information System (GIS) Mapping is becoming an indispensable tool for planning and operations and maintenance personal.  We have developed secure online web mapping for operations staff.  Distribution system facilities, including valves, pipelines, PRVs, etc. are mapped and can be overlaid on aerial photos, street maps, etc.  We can also link as-builts, photos, leak information and other important asset information linked and accessible through the map.  The online map and associated information is accessible by operations staff in the field on smart phones or tablets with a cell or internet connection.  Additionally, GIS will allow you to manage your assets and plan for repair and replacement of old facilities.

Providing day to day, and special operations assistance to clients is one of the most important roles our firm provides.  We are directly responsible for providing water service to 5,000 residents in the Sierra Foothills in four separate water systems.  We provide operations and maintenance, emergency response, regulatory reporting, engineering, construction and management.  We also provide operations consulting in the event of a system problem on a short-term, as needed basis.
